I write about what to build at the turning points of technology and culture.

The Renaissance Papers are essays on AI, markets, institutions, human flourishing, and what it means to be human in an age of extraordinary capability.

The Renaissance Papers

Most writing about AI asks what the machines will do to us.

The Renaissance Papers ask what kind of civilization can use them well.

The project
